Mogadishu, QN - The plane carrying captured Alshabab leader Hassan Dahir Aweys was brought to Mogadishu by a chartered plane highly guarded by Himan and Heeb Security forces and was handed over the government security forces.
Aweys, with light blue rope and red-dotted white headscarf got off the plane, with about 25 armed men guarding him and was escorted to the VIP of the airport where members of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) waited him.

Aweys accepted to surrender to the Somalia federal government after 2 days of talks between him and government delegation mostly from his clan that reached Adado the second day of his arrest.

The NISA forces refused the media to take photos of Aweys who covered his head with his white headscart (imama) and faced down to avoid cameras.

"He looks very old, very exhausted and sick" said Qalin News Reporter who saw Aweys as he got off the plane.

"The NISA branch of Alpha Group surrounded him, he was not handcurfed but he was under arrest" the reporter added.

Aweys' arrest is a serious blow to Alshabab, which is sharpening its knives for its members as internal conflict torn the group apart.

The Somalia government spokesman didn't respond the calls related to the fate of Aweys, who fled from Barawe 10 days as as a group of opposition members fought against Amniyat of Alshabab, the intelligence wing of the group.
